About Praia da Marinha
Praia da Marinha is in the municipality of Lagoa, about 18 km from Albufeira, near Benagil. It is a small sandy beach enclosed by golden rock cliffs, with arches and isolated rocks in the water.
From the top of the cliff, viewpoints show the double rock arch and the water in shades of green and blue. The descent to the sand is by a stairway.
From the beach starts the Percurso dos Sete Vales Suspensos, a trail of about 6 km along the edge of the cliffs to Praia de Vale Centeanes, passing by Benagil and by the top of the algar.
The trail passes through valleys that end abruptly at the sea, by arches and caves seen from above and by small beaches.
