About Giro dell'isola in barca
The boat trip around the island is the way to see Capri’s coastline, made of limestone cliffs that drop straight into the sea. Boats depart from Marina Grande and circle the island in about one to two hours, with stops to view the grottos.
Along the way are the Grotta Bianca, with pale limestone formations, the Grotta Verde, with greenish water, the natural arch of the Faraglione di Mezzo and the Punta Carena lighthouse at the southwest tip. Many tours stop in front of the Grotta Azzurra for those who want to transfer to a small boat and enter it.
There are group tours in larger launches and private boats, with or without a swim stop. If you prefer to drive, you can rent a gozzo, a traditional wooden boat, in Marina Grande or Marina Piccola.

How to get there

Tip
Check whether the visit to the Grotta Azzurra is included or paid separately. Bring sunscreen and a light jacket because it can be windy at sea.
