About Faraglioni di Capri
The Faraglioni are three limestone stacks that rose from the coast through sea erosion. Each has a name: Stella, the one closest to the island and still attached to the land; Faraglione di Mezzo, the middle one, pierced by a natural arch; and Faraglione di Fuori, also called Scopolo, the farthest out.
On the Faraglione di Fuori lives a blue lizard found only there, the lucertola azzurra, adapted to the color of the rock and the sea.
The Faraglioni can be seen from the Giardini di Augusto and from the Punta Tragara viewpoint, at the end of an easy walk from the Piazzetta. The closest way to see them is by boat: island tours usually pass through the arch of the Faraglione di Mezzo when the sea allows.
Below the Punta Tragara viewpoint there are rocky beach clubs, accessible by a ladder or by boat.
