How many days

Half a day is enough for the castle, the church and the harbor. Those who stay overnight in Vernazza enjoy the village early in the morning and at night, when there are fewer visitors.

When to go

April to June and September to October are usually the months with the best balance between weather and crowds. In summer, from June to August, the village becomes crowded between late morning and late afternoon.

The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.

Do you need a car?

No. Visitor cars do not enter the village; there is a small parking area up above, about 1 km away. The regional train stops in the center and is the simplest way to get there.
