About Spido
Spido has been operating boat tours in the port of Roterdã since 1919, when it began ferrying workers and sailors to anchored ships. Today the boats depart from Willemsplein, at the foot of the Erasmusbrug, year-round.
The most common tour lasts about 75 minutes, includes an audio guide, and passes the city's riverside sights and the docks, with container ships, cranes and shipyards. The port of Roterdã is the largest in Europe: it covers more than 100 square kilometers and stretches about 40 kilometers to the North Sea.
In season there are also longer excursions to Maasvlakte 2, the port area reclaimed from the sea, and other themed tours. Combined tickets pair the boat with the Euromast or the Depot Boijmans.
The boats have a heated indoor section with a bar on board, and an open deck for photos.
