About Grand Aquarium Saint-Malo
The Grand Aquarium Saint-Malo opened in 1996 at the entrance to the town, a few kilometers from the Intra-Muros. It covers 4,000 square meters, has 46 tanks and around 10,000 animals of some 600 species, arranged in different environments.
The best-known attraction is the 360-degree ring, a 600,000-liter circular tank that surrounds the visitor, featuring blacktip sharks and loggerhead turtles.
There is also the Nautibus, a small rail ride that simulates a submarine, and the Abyssal Descender, a deep-diving simulator.
It is one of the most visited sites in Brittany and a good option with children or on rainy days.
