How many days

Two days allow a full day at the Alhambra and another for the city centre, the Albaicín and the Sacromonte. With three days you can add the Cartuja, San Jerónimo, Lorca's house and the Parque de las Ciencias, or a day of snow in the Sierra Nevada.

When to go

From March to May and from September to November the weather is usually good for walking the hills.

The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.

Do you need a car?

No. The historic centre, the Albaicín and the Realejo are closed to private cars, and there are minibuses to the Alhambra, the Albaicín and the Sacromonte. A car is useful only to go to the Sierra Nevada outside bus schedules or to continue on to the Alpujarras and the coast.
