About Viña Emiliana

Emiliana is one of Chile's major organic wineries. Conversion to organic cultivation began in 1998, and Coyam, the house's first major organic wine, was released in 2001. Gê is presented as the first biodynamic wine in Latin America.

The visitor center is on the north side of Ruta 68, at km 60.7. The organic tour walks through the vineyards explaining the valley's soil, climate and grapes, goes by the vegetable garden and the area where biodynamic preparations are made, and ends with a tasting of four wines — two whites and two reds. Another option includes the premium wines and the Gê, with optional cheese or organic chocolate pairings.

Animals that are part of the management, such as sheep, chickens, llamas and peacocks, roam the vineyard, which appeals to those traveling with children. Visits take place Tuesday to Saturday at scheduled times.
