About Quebrada de San Lorenzo

The Quebrada de San Lorenzo is in Villa San Lorenzo, close to Salta. The river runs along a wooded slope, in a yungas environment different from the arid landscapes of the Valles Calchaquíes. The area is used for walks and rest stops along the visit routes.

Access via rua Juan Carlos Dávalos ends at the quebrada sector, where there are services and rest areas. The vegetation is linked to local humidity and the slope relief. Choosing a short walk lets you experience this environment without turning the outing into a mountain crossing.

Appropriate footwear for dirt paths and an extra layer of clothing help with preparation. Define the route according to available time and stay on the indicated areas. The visit pairs well with a day in Salta, but requires transport for the return different from walking through the historic center.
