About Cerro San Bernardo

Cerro San Bernardo is on the east side of Salta and offers observation areas above the city. From the viewpoints, the street grid and neighborhoods help to understand the size of the capital and its position in the Lerma valley. The outing changes the perspective after walks among the center's façades.

Access can be by cable car, road or stairway. Each option requires a different organization of effort, transport and time. At the upper area there are paths, gardens and stopping spaces used by visitors who move between viewpoints.

Bring water and a layer of clothing for the wind at the top. Those who choose to walk should consider the ascent and the return, without comparing their time to that of the cable car. Visibility varies with the day's conditions; follow the indicated routes and check the operation of the chosen transport.
