About Museo de la Vid y el Vino
The Museo de la Vid y el Vino is located in the urban center of Cafayate. Opened in 2011 in the space of a previous museum, it presents the viticulture of the Valles Calchaquíes. The visit helps to understand the territory before visiting a winery.
The exhibition combines images, sounds and audiovisual resources to address the environment, the cultivation and the production of wine. Altitude and the temperature differences between day and night are part of this interpretation of the region. The route pays attention both to the wine and to the work and knowledge associated with it.
It is not necessary to participate in a tasting to follow the galleries. Allow time to read and observe the different resources, rather than passing through the museum as a brief stop. Its location in the center makes it easy to combine with the cathedral and a winery visit at another time of day.
