About El Anfiteatro
El Anfiteatro is located in the Quebrada de las Conchas, near Ruta Nacional 68. It is a natural cavity with high reddish rock walls, reached from a pull-off and a short path. Its shape surrounds the visitor in a different way than the open viewpoints along the road.
Erosion sculpted the concavity and left the rock layers exposed. The tubular form is linked to the place's acoustics, which gave it its name. The visit allows observation of the wall patterns and the strip of sky between them, without relying on a musical performance or a scheduled activity.
Walk on the floor of the visitor area and view the formation from different positions. The tour can be combined with the Garganta del Diablo, but they are not two names for the same cavity. Allow time for the stop and return to the road, and wear footwear suitable for dirt and stones.
