About Bosque de Arrayanes
The Bosque de Arrayanes occupies the tip of the Quetrihué peninsula on Lago Nahuel Huapi. Its cinnamon-colored trunks stand out against the green of the crowns and the other plants in the forest. The visit to the tree core follows a boardwalk route that organizes circulation without turning the soil into shortcuts.
Reaching the bosque is an important choice in your itinerary. The trail from the isthmus covers about 12 km each way, while a boat ride takes you to the sector near the bosque. It is also possible to combine a land segment with a boat segment, but the boat return must be arranged before the walk.
Do not confuse the viewpoints near the isthmus with the bosque at the tip of the peninsula. For a round-trip hike, allow a full day and check trail conditions. On the boardwalk section, observe the bark and shapes of the trees, stay on the marked path and do not remove material from the vegetation.
