About Costanera del Lago Lácar

The Costanera of Lago Lácar runs along the eastern tip of the lake, beside the center of San Martín de los Andes. The walk brings together the urban shore, the stretch of beach and the pier area. From there, the valley continues between forested mountains, while the central streets are a few blocks away.

It's a walk to get to know the town after arrival or between transfers. The bus terminal is in this area, but pier operations and navigation departures follow their own schedules. Walk through the pedestrian areas and leave space clear around access points used for boarding.

The shore can be visited without taking part in a water activity. From December to March there are usually more people on the beach; in other months the walk requires clothing for cold and wind. Choose how long to stay based on the day's conditions and don't rely on sunset or a calm lake as fixed parts of the itinerary.
