About Cerro San Antonio

Cerro San Antonio, also called Cerro del Inglés, rises at the eastern end of the bay beside the port. It is about 130 metres high and is the most famous viewpoint in Piriápolis: from the top you can see the whole rambla, the beaches, the port and the neighbouring resorts.

At the summit there is a small chapel dedicated to Santo Antônio de Pádua, and also a sculpture of Our Lady of the Fishermen by Mirco Prati.

The simplest way to reach the top is by car, via the road that goes to the summit. Those who prefer walking can also reach the top on foot.

At the foot of the hill, the port of Piriápolis gathers fishing and tour boats. The combination of port, hill and rambla forms the city's postcard scene.
