About Allmendhubel
The Allmendhubel is a grassy hill just above Mürren. The funicular departs from the upper part of the village and climbs in a few minutes to the station at 1,907 m, near a restaurant with a terrace.
The flower trail is a short route with panels about more than 150 alpine flowers, such as edelweiss, gentian and rhododendron, which typically bloom from June to August. The Flower Park, a themed playground with giant flowers and insects, sits beside the station.
From there longer trails start that return to Mürren across pastures or follow the slope with views of the Eiger, the Mönch and the Jungfrau on the opposite side of the valley. In winter the hill is part of Mürren's ski area.
The funicular operates in summer and winter, with maintenance pauses at the mid-station; check operations before you go up.
