About Etihad Stadium

Etihad Stadium is in the east of Manchester, about 3 km from the city centre, in the sports complex called Etihad Campus. It was built for the 2002 Commonwealth Games and, afterwards, adapted for football, becoming Manchester City's home in 2003. Expanded in stages, it has a capacity of over 50,000, with masts and cables that support the roof and stand out from afar.

The guided tour goes through the stands, the media area, the players' dressing room, the tunnel onto the pitch and the pitch edge, with guides telling the story of the club, founded in 1880. There is also an area displaying the club's trophies and memorabilia.

Around the stadium are other sports facilities, such as the Velódromo Nacional and the training centre, linked by walkways, and Co-op Live, a concert arena opened in 2024. A pedestrian bridge links the stadium to the training centre on the other side of the avenue.

There are no tours on match days, and events can cancel time slots; book via the club's website.
