About Musée A Possen (Museu A Possen)
The A Possen museum occupies an old winemakers’ house in the village of Bech-Kleinmacher, between Remich and Schengen, on the Route du Vin. The house, with its courtyard, cellar and living rooms, has been preserved with furniture, tools and everyday objects, and shows how a Mosela family lived in the 19th century and the early 20th.
In the kitchen, bedrooms and living room you can see the stove, utensils, clothing and décor of the period. The cellar and press house show wine production before machines: the presses, barrels, harvest baskets and tools used in the hillside vineyards. Other rooms cover trades and village life.
The museum helps to understand the landscape seen along the Route du Vin, with terraced vineyards and stone-built villages along the river. The visit is short and peaceful, and usually has texts in French, German and English.
The museum’s restaurant, in part of the house, serves regional dishes and Mosela wines.
