About Fondazione Prada
Fondazione Prada is a contemporary art center created by the fashion brand, housed in the complex of an early-20th-century distillery in Largo Isarco in the south of Milan. The project is by the OMA firm, led by Rem Koolhaas, which preserved the old warehouses and added new buildings.
The most curious building is the Haunted House, a four-story house with a façade covered in gold leaf. Next to it, the Torre, made of white concrete, has nine floors with exhibition rooms and a restaurant at the top, offering city views.
The exhibitions change throughout the year and mix the permanent collection, contemporary artists and cinema. At the entrance is Bar Luce, a café designed by filmmaker Wes Anderson inspired by Milanese cafés of the 1950s and 1960s.
The ticket grants access to the exhibitions on view. Check the program beforehand, because some spaces close between shows.
