About Viña Matetic
Matetic is located in Valle del Rosario, a coastal valley neighboring Casablanca on the way to San Antonio. The estate, in Lagunillas, is part of the commune of Cartagena, about a half-hour drive from downtown Casablanca and just over an hour from Santiago.
All cultivation is organic and biodynamic. The main tour goes through the vineyards, a biological corridor of native vegetation and the biodynamic vegetable garden, explains the biopreparations and goes by the press and the cellar, ending with a tasting of four white and red wines from the Corralillo and EQ lines.
On the property are the restaurant Equilibrio, with a menu paired to the wines, and La Casona, a restored colonial house from 1900 that hosts guests. For those who want to spend the night in the countryside, it's one of the overnight options among the region's vineyards.

Tip
Visits are by prior reservation only. Since it's off Ruta 68, it's worth combining Matetic with lunch and leaving the roadside wineries for another day.
