A restaurant opened in 1963 by siblings Severino, Carlos and Flora Madalosso, which started with eight tables and today seats more than 4,600 people at once. It keeps up the Italian-Brazilian tradition of polenta and chicken in the Santa Felicidade neighborhood.

Bar do Alemão

A German tavern opened in 1979 on Largo da Ordem, in the historic center, known for its chope submarino (draft beer with a shot glass sunk in it) and carne de onça (seasoned raw beef), a snack recognized as intangible heritage of Curitiba. Good if you want German food in a traditional bar setting.
