Apiúna – SC Destination Vale Europeu
How to get there
BR-470 provides road access to Apiúna and the Subida area. The optional bicycle section follows a specific itinerary and should be kept separate from transfers to reach the train or the hills.
How many days
Allow two days in Apiúna to separate the railway excursion from nature activities. The climb to Morro do Bicudo can occupy its own schedule, depending on pace and authorized access.
When to go
The Maria Fumaça ride requires confirming the operating schedule. For Bicudo and Andorinhas, check the weather and access availability; rain affects the safety of trails and the Rio Itajaí-Açu.
Do you need a car?
The train in Subida, Morro Dom Bosco and the waterfalls do not form a single walkable cluster. Local transport makes visiting easier when not cycling; adventure activities require specialized support.
