What to expect from Apiúna.
Apiúna brings together the Maria Fumaça train ride in the locality of Subida and the chapel atop Morro Dom Bosco. Morro do Bicudo and Cachoeira das Andorinhas add trails and Atlantic Forest scenery, while the Rio Itajaí-Açu hosts adventure activities. The town belongs to the Circuito Vale Europeu de Cicloturismo via an optional branch with dirt sections; the detour is not part of the main circuit route.
