Valença – RJ Destination Vale do Café

How to get there

The RJ-145 is part of Valença's road connections. When planning outings, separate arrival at the municipal seat from the journey to Conservatória.

How many days

Plan at least two stages: one for the municipal seat and another for Conservatória. Staying in the district during its musical schedule avoids returning to the road immediately after the seresta gatherings.

When to go

For the Cruzeiro view, choose a day with good visibility. If your interest is Conservatória's music, check the actual program and the availability of cultural venues.

Do you need a car?

The cathedral and other central locations can be included in an urban walk. Getting to Conservatória and the Mirante do Cruzeiro is easier by car or with combined transport.

Frequently asked questions

Is Conservatória a separate town?

Conservatória is a district of Valença. The tradition of serestas and the Túnel que Chora offer musical and railway-related experiences within the same municipality.

The Catedral de Nossa Senhora da Glória, Casa Léa Pentagna and the Mirante do Cruzeiro belong to the municipal seat and its surroundings.

Does the Túnel que Chora still tell the story of the trains?

Does Casa Léa Pentagna always host the same exhibition?

The house has a cultural function, and access to its spaces depends on its operation and programming. Confirm what will be visitable on the date of the trip.
