Campo do Tenente – PR Destination Rotas do Pinhão
How to get there
The BR-116 brings you closer coming from Rio Negro. The PR-427 connects Campo do Tenente with Lapa; the monastery has its own access separate from the simple route between towns.
How many days
Set aside time for a religious visit to the monastery and another short break in the town center, all within one day.
When to go
From June to August Campo do Tenente usually has low temperatures. April and September are alternatives for religious and urban routes; from December to February summer rains warrant extra time for outdoor travel.
The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.
Do you need a car?
The monastery and the town center do not form a single walking route. Arrange transport to the authorized entrance and keep the return to PR-427 organized.
