Araucária – PR Destination Rotas do Pinhão

How to get there

BR-476 connects Araucária to Lapa; PR-423 continues toward Campo Largo. Use the urban access roads to reach Parque Cachoeira, rather than just passing by on the highway.

How many days

A one-day stage covers Parque Cachoeira and urban pauses before continuing along the branch.

When to go

March, April and September are usually months with milder temperatures in Araucária. June through August tend to be cold; December through February see more heat and rain on outdoor outings.

The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.

Do you need a car?

Local transport takes care of getting to the park within the city. To combine Araucária with Lapa and Campo Largo, a car or a hired transfer makes the branch easier.

Frequently asked questions

Is Parque Cachoeira directly on the BR-476 route?

The park has its own urban access. Identify the entrance before leaving the Rodovia do Xisto corridor.

Is it necessary to enter a museum to experience the park?

Walking through the public spaces is a different activity from entering cultural facilities, which require separate arrangements.

How to go from Araucária to Campo Largo?

Use PR-423 and the connections to the BR-277 corridor, including access to the urban center of Campo Largo.

Does the city serve as a stop before Curitiba?

Araucária is in the metropolitan block and can be part of that stage. The tourist itinerary keeps the urban pause separate from visits to the capital.
