Passo de Camaragibe is about 80 km from Maceió, on the AL-101 Norte. There is no regular bus line to the coast: a car or transfer is best. Nearest airport: Maceió.

How many days

One day, for Barra de Camaragibe, Praia do Marceneiro and the crossing to Praia dos Morros. It is the southern end of the Rota Ecológica.

When to go

From September to March, with more sun. Roughly from April to July it rains more. The Marceneiro pools depend on low tide. The festival of Nossa Senhora da Conceição, the patron saint, is in early December.

Do you need a car?

Yes, to get there and to go from one beach to another. Praia dos Morros has no car access: you cross the river by canoe from Barra and walk about 15 minutes.
