How to get there

Approximate road distances. Check flights and bus schedules before you travel.
BA-001 connects Ituberá to the continental axis of the Baixo Sul. Pancada Grande has its own entrance on the highway; Pratigi uses other accesses and Barra de Serinhaém can be reached by the channel, with combined transport.
How many days
Two or three days are enough to see the urban heritage, Pancada Grande, and choose a coastal section. Pratigi and Barra de Serinhaém have different accesses and require separate planning.
When to go
From April to July there is usually more rain, which can change dirt roads and river volumes. September to February generally has lower flows. For the coast and the Serinhaém channel, check the tide, wind and navigation conditions.
The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.
Do you need a car?
Road transport makes the connection between the municipal seat, the Pancada Grande entrance and the accesses to Pratigi easier. To reach Barra via the channel, arrange a boat; choosing a car does not replace that planning.

The beach requires separate access from the urban visit to the Igreja de Santo André. Arrange transport for this segment.

The Serinhaém channel allows organizing travel by boat from Ituberá. Coordinate departure and return with the transport provider.
Do the tours require entering the water?
Observing the waterfall, the coastal walk and the exterior visit to the church allow you to experience the places without needing to bathe.
