Ponta Grossa – PR Destination Campos Gerais

How to get there

Arrive via the road corridors linked to Palmeira and Curitiba. The PR-151 continues to Carambeí; Vila Velha has its own access outside the urban route.

How many days

Two days allow you to dedicate one stage to Vila Velha and another to the city or to confirmed cultural visits.

When to go

In Ponta Grossa, July and August tend to have less rain than January, with lower temperatures. March, April and September are good alternatives for walking on the plateau; from December to February it is more common to encounter summer heat and rain.

The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.

Do you need a car?

A car or contracted transport makes it easier to get from the city to Vila Velha. The visitor routes inside the park follow the operator's organization.
