How to get there

BR-277 and PR-151 provide access to Palmeira. The Ponte dos Papagaios is next to the BR-277 corridor, on the municipal boundary, separate from the walk from the town center.

How many days

One day allows you to observe the bridge and explore the town center; add another stage if you choose a confirmed visit to the rural colonies.

When to go

March, April and September are good options for walking in Palmeira, with generally milder temperatures. June to August tends to be cold; December to February tends to bring heat and more rain on the plateau.

The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.

Do you need a car?

Car or combined transport links the town center with the Ponte dos Papagaios and the rural localities. The central walk can be done on foot.
