Cachoeira dos Amores is one of the most popular river swimming spots in São Bento do Sapucaí, in the São Paulo part of the Serra da Mantiqueira. It is on private property in the Paiol Grande area, on the way to the Pedra do Baú.
It is a small waterfall, with shallow pools and rapids among rocks, surrounded by forest and riverside lawns. Access is easy, which makes it a good option for families with children.
About 400 meters upstream, a short trail leads to the Cachoeira do Encontro, where two waterfalls meet and form a single river. The path can get slippery, so wear sturdy shoes.
There is an entrance fee, and the site has parking and restrooms. Since it is simple and popular, it gets crowded on hot weekends and holidays.
