Ipu – CE Destination Serra da Ibiapaba
How to get there
The CE-187 connects Ipu to Guaraciaba do Norte, descending from the plateau to the mountain's foot. Locate the chosen entrance to the Bica before leaving the town.
How many days
One day is enough for visiting the Bica and for travel within the town. An additional hike in the protected area requires separate planning.
When to go
From January to May rains are more frequent, especially in March and April, and the Bica's flow tends to increase. Check the visiting and trail conditions; from July to December it usually rains less.
The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.
Do you need a car?
Access to the Bica requires transport from where you are staying. Arrange arrival and return, then choose a walk suitable for the group.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Bica have its own visiting rules?
The landscape is part of an environmental protection area. Check local guidance about the chosen access and activity conditions.
Can the water flow change?
The waterfall depends on natural conditions. Check the situation for your travel dates.
What is the section coming from Guaraciaba like?
The CE-187 connects the plateau to the foot of the mountain. Access to the Bica site is not the same as arriving at the town center.
Is it necessary to include a long trail to see the Bica?
The route depends on the chosen access. Ask local guidance and select the activity according to participants' conditions.
Can I combine the Bica with the next town on the same day?
First consider the length of the visit and return transport to town. The transfer along the CE-187 is a distinct stage from the nature outing.
