The PE-060 crosses the municipality of São José da Coroa Grande and links the town to Barreiros. The central seafront has an urban feel; Várzea do Una requires a local access different from passing along the highway.
How many days
Two days allow you to separate Praia da Coroa Grande from Vila da Várzea do Una. If you include an activity on the reefs, adjust the timing to the tide and to the guidance of those running the outing.
When to go
From September to February it typically rains less in this stretch of coast. March to July concentrates the rainier season. Sandbanks and reefs change exposure with the tide, and sea conditions determine any outing.
The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.
Do you need a car?
The center and part of its seafront can be combined into a walk. For Várzea do Una and other accesses outside the urban core, a vehicle or transfer makes it easier to organize the stages.

This stage ends in the Pernambuco municipality. Continuing on to Maragogi is an extension of the trip to be organized separately.
