Frequently asked questions
Is Jericoacoara Airport in Cruz?
Yes, about 23 km from downtown Cruz and a little over 30 km from the village of Jeri. Transfers to the village do the final stretch in a 4x4.
Preá or Jericoacoara for kitesurfing?
Preá faces the wind areas and has pousadas geared to the sport. Jeri is livelier and has more restaurants. The two are about 11 km apart, over the sand.
Can I go to Buraco Azul on my own?
Without a 4x4, it is not recommended: the route has sand and little signage. Most people go on the east tour, by buggy.
