Santa Cruz Cabrália – BA Destination Costa do Descobrimento
How to get there
-
Aeroporto de Porto Seguro (BPS) Porto Seguro
Approximate road distances. Check flights and bus schedules before you travel.
BR-367 connects the municipal seat to the Porto Seguro coast, passing through Coroa Vermelha. For beaches north of the João de Tiba, the coastal connection to the center may include a ferry (balsa) and local accesses; confirm operation for the transport you choose.
How many days
Allow two or three days to cover Cidade Alta, Coroa Vermelha and the beaches. Santo André has its own travel considerations relative to the municipal seat, while Arakakaí allows a visit to the urban waterfront.
When to go
August and September generally have less rain and milder temperatures. March and April and November and December tend to be rainier. December through February brings more activity; beaches and crossings also depend on the tide and the weather.
The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.
Do you need a car?
The heritage of Cidade Alta can be experienced by walking around the square, after the climb. A vehicle or combined transport helps the connections between the municipal seat, Coroa Vermelha and Santo André. Identify public access points to the beaches.
