How to get there
PB-240 arrives from São Sebastião do Umbuzeiro and meets PB-224 at the municipal seat of São João do Tigre. Continuing along PB-224 leads to Camalaú; accesses to the natural areas are separate routes.
When to go
June to September is usually drier in São João do Tigre. Between February and May, rainfall tends to alter the vegetation and the rural access routes in the Cariri.
