How to get there
BR-412 reaches Monteiro and connects the town center to Sumé. PB-264 continues south toward the Anel do Cariri. The Casa de Zabé da Loca, at sítio Tungão, and Laje das Moças have different rural entrances.

Two days to separate the visit to Zabé da Loca's memorial site and the walk at Laje das Moças, plus time for rural transfers.
When to go
From June to September it generally rains less in Monteiro. Between February and May, rain can make the caatinga greener and change access to rural areas.

Do you need a car?
A vehicle or combined transport makes access outside the town easier. Visits to the memorial house and the lajedo require prior agreement for entry.
