Congo – PB Destination Cariri Paraibano
How to get there
The PB-196 connects Congo to Camalaú and to the accesses of Caraúbas. The PB-214 links the region to the Sumé axis; for the Serra da Engabelada, arrange the rural route and the meeting point with a local guide.
How many days
One day for the chosen Serra da Engabelada circuit; add an overnight stay if the rural arrival and return require a longer stage.
When to go
June to September tends to have less rain in Congo. From February to May, rain usually alters the vegetation and the humidity of the caatinga circuits.
The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.
Do you need a car?
A car or hired transport helps reach the agreed point of the serra. The trail section is done on foot and depends on the chosen circuit.
