When to go
Rafting is best from October to April, busiest from December to March, when the heat helps. The temple is open to visitors all year, Thursday to Sunday. Winter is cold, as everywhere in the mountains.
Do you need a car?
For the temple, yes: it's about 7 km from the center, with the last few kilometers on a dirt road, and arriving on foot is not allowed. Rafting is done with tour operators, on the riverbank. The Ponte Coberta (covered bridge) is in the center.
