How many days

One day is enough for the historic center and two wineries. Many people come from Bento Gonçalves or arrive on the Maria Fumaça, which stops at the town's station.

When to go

Fenachamp, the sparkling wine festival, takes place in October every two years, in odd-numbered years. The grape harvest runs from December to March. Winter is cold and busy throughout the mountains.

Do you need a car?

Not in the center: Rua Buarque de Macedo, the Igreja Matriz, Peterlongo and the Cooperativa are within walking distance. For the wineries in the countryside and the Vale dos Vinhedos, yes.
