When to go

Festiqueijo, the cheese festival, takes place on weekends between late June and July, and it's the liveliest time. Winter is cold, with frost.

Do you need a car?

The Parque da Estação is in the center and you can visit it on foot. For the viewpoints at Morro do Calvário and Morro do Diabo, a car helps. Morro do Diabo can only be visited by appointment.

Yes. The train also runs in the opposite direction, from Carlos Barbosa to Bento Gonçalves, stopping in Garibaldi. Check the operating days beforehand.

Do I need to book a visit to Morro do Diabo?

Yes. Visits are by appointment, through the contact listed on the city's tourism website.

When is Festiqueijo?
