About Cascata Véu de Noiva
Cascata Véu de Noiva is one of the most visited waterfalls in Urubici, in the Serra Catarinense. It is on private property on the way to Morro da Igreja and gets its name from the way the water runs down the basalt rock face, spreading out like a white veil.
The main falls are tall and close to the reception area. From the viewpoint and the wooden decks you can watch the water flowing down the cliff, surrounded by forest with tree ferns. In the rainy season the flow increases and the veil gets wider.
The property works as a park, with trails to two other waterfalls, Cachoeira dos Namorados and Cachoeira Três Irmãs. One of the trails crosses a suspended walkway in the middle of the forest. There is also a zip line and a restaurant.
The path to the main falls is short and easy, good for families. The trails to the other waterfalls have stairs and damp stretches, so they take a bit more energy.
