About Praia de Guadalupe
Guadalupe lies on the coast of Sirinhaém, on the north bank of the mouth of the Rio Formoso. The stretch of sand and the coconut trees relate to the estuary landscape, creating a different walk from the central waterfront of Barra de Sirinhaém. The beach belongs to Sirinhaém, while Carneiros is on the Tamandaré side.
The overland route to Guadalupe uses its own coastal access. On arrival, identify public paths and check the tide level to determine the walking section. Boat trips through the estuary are independent activities to be arranged with the hosts. Do not cross the mouth via sandbanks or assume that a shallow appearance indicates a passage between the banks. Mangroves, channels and fishing areas require guided circulation. The visit can be limited to observing the beach and the river-meets-sea area, without relying on swimming or a boat. To combine Guadalupe with other locations in Sirinhaém, plan the return by road instead of relying on continuous sand connections.
