About Praia de Gaibu
Praia de Gaibu follows one of the coastal nuclei of Cabo de Santo Agostinho. The sand strip, the reefs and the proximity of the promontory help to understand the landscape of this part of the Pernambuco coast. Streets, homes and businesses of the nucleus are part of the visit, which can alternate urban walking with observation of the sea.
The visit is not limited to a commercial structure: use public access points to choose where to reach the shoreline. The exposure of the rocks varies with the tide and does not indicate uniform conditions for swimming. Before entering the water, seek guidance about that stretch. To traverse the sand strip, note the distance to your return point and preserve vegetated areas. Gaibu can serve as a base for access to other beaches of the Cabo, but the connection to Calhetas requires organizing route and transport. The municipal seat is inland, separate from this seaside nucleus.
