About Mirante da Biquinha

The Mirante da Biquinha is a viewing point for the valleys and mountains of Viana, next to the BR-262. The site occupies the location of an old fountain and dates from 1857. Its history combines the memory of water used by the community with the landscape travelers encounter on the route to the highland region.

The space was revitalized in 2021 and retains its role as an outdoor stop for contemplation. Upon arrival, observe how the relief is distributed among the valleys and rises. The experience depends on the day's visibility: clouds, rain and fog alter the panorama and can hide parts of the mountains.

Use the area designated for visitors and the accesses of the viewpoint itself, without parking on the roadway. The Biquinha does not require a long trail to read the landscape; the visit is concentrated in the viewing area. Choose a time with natural light and plan your outing together with other movements in Viana.
