How many days
We suggest three days to combine Praia do Forte, Passagem, Peró and Ilha do Japonês. In one day, focus the itinerary on Praia do Forte and Passagem. Two days allow including Peró; leave Ilha do Japonês for a time with suitable access and conditions.
When to go
Prefer weekdays outside public holidays and school vacations if you want to avoid busy periods. For beach and boat trips, check wind, sea and access conditions. Combine time on the sand with urban walks to adapt the itinerary to the day.
Do you need a car?
For an itinerary focused on Praia do Forte and the town center, consider walking and using transport for necessary stretches. A car makes it easier to reach Peró and other spots but requires planning for parking. For Ilha do Japonês, confirm boat access and the return.
