About Praia de Palmas

Praia de Palmas is the largest beach in Governador Celso Ramos, on the northern coast of Greater Florianópolis. It has almost 3 km of sand between forest-covered hills, facing islands that dot the sea.

It's also the best-equipped beach in the municipality. Around it there are vacation homes, condominiums, markets, bakeries, bars and restaurants, which makes it the most practical base if you're staying in town.

The water is usually greenish and clear on good-weather days. The sea has waves and the beach draws both swimmers and surfers; conditions change with the wind, so take a look at the sea before going in.

The atmosphere is family-friendly and relaxed, without the buzz of the region's trendier beaches. The wide strip of sand and the paved access road make it easy for families with children and older people to visit.
