About Praia Mansa de Caiobá

Praia Mansa (beach) is in Caiobá, the southern part of Matinhos, on the Paraná coast. It sits right at the mouth of the Baía de Guaratuba, sheltered by a cove. That is why the sea arrives calm and shallow, without the force of the waves at the neighboring beaches.

It is the beach most popular with families with children. The sand is wide and the calm water makes for a worry-free swim. The calm sea is also good for stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking and windsurfing.

At the end of the beach starts the trail up Morro do Boi, a hill about 160 meters high that separates Praia Mansa from Praia Brava de Caiobá. The trail leads to the small Praia dos Amores, hidden behind the hill, and to viewpoints overlooking the Baía de Guaratuba and the area's beaches. Paragliders also take off from the top.

The waterfront has plenty of bars and restaurants and gets crowded in the summer season and on sunny weekends.
