About Praia Brava de Caiobá
Praia Brava de Caiobá (beach) is in Matinhos, on the Paraná coast, just north of Morro do Boi. Unlike neighboring Praia Mansa, it faces the open sea and gets medium-sized waves.
It is one of the most built-up areas of Matinhos. Buildings line the waterfront, which has a promenade along the sand and plenty of bars and restaurants. The beach is wide, with stretches of vegetation.
On calm days you can swim; when the sea gets rougher, the beach draws surfers and hosts surf contests. The promenade is good for walking, running and cycling with a sea view.
Morro do Boi, at the south end, has a trail with viewpoints over the area's beaches. The trailhead is on the Praia Mansa side.
