How many days
Two days: one for Praia dos Carneiros and another for the natural pools and the beaches of Tamandaré. With three, you have time to match the tide.
When to go
From September to March, with more sun. Roughly from April to July it rains more and the sea can get murky. The natural pools depend on low tide. São Pedro, the patron saint, is celebrated on June 29.
Do you need a car?
It helps: the town's coastline is about 16 km long. You can reach Carneiros by car, through the entrance of restaurants and hotels, by catamaran from the Rio Formoso estuary, or on foot along the sand, about 7 km from Tamandaré beach.
